Silence

A funny thing happened today. I was busy getting on with my work, when I suddenly became aware that our office was much quieter than it usually is. In fact all I could hear was the air conditioning. Then I realised, and looked at my watch, and yes it was 12:00, and everyone was observing the 2-minute silence for the London bombings that happened a week ago.

That silence was lovely.

I'd much rather have a noisey office though, if it meant that people didn't die from bombs.
